Easy to install
The Digital Diesel Control system consists of a
central control unit and a local control panel
already installed on the generator set, and a re-
mote panel as a user friendly interface between
the operator and the generator. Communication
between the remote panel and control unit takes
place by means of a ‘plug in’ communication
cable that is included with the system.
Now the system is ready to be used and no
further settings are required!
Easy to operate
Basic operation of the Digital Diesel Control is
very easy: a short push on the start button will
initiate the start procedure. Each step in this
procedure is displayed on the panel and shows
for itself. Stopping is possible at any moment by
pushing the stop button briefly. While the
generator set is running the LCD display on the
remote panel shows the most important infor-
mation about the output and load. The load bar
allows observation-at-a-glance of the load as well.
When scrolling through the menu by pushing
the Select button, various advanced actual
engine diagnostic and historical data can be
monitored. In the event of a failure a red LED
indicator lights up and the microprocessor will
stop the engine. After stopping, detailed infor-
mation about the failure is shown on the LCD
display.

LCD display
The backlit LCD display shows the actual status
and user specific information of the Whisper
generator. When two blinking stars (

) are
shown, the autostart function or the interval
mode is activated.
Generator control buttons
A simple touch of the Start button
will start the generator at any time.
Press Stop for an immediate stop.
Set and Select
Press the Set and Select buttons for
navigation through the
programming and read-out menus.
Read out information
Both actual and historical information is shown:
• Voltage, Amps, frequency at the output of the generator.
• Load in kVA and as a percentage of the total available power.
• Voltage of the starter battery and an additional second battery.
• Deepest battery voltage.
• Time before maintenance.
• Latest warnings.
Programming
• Alarm function set points: low AC voltage,
high amps, low frequency, low battery.
• Adjustment of engine control.
• Autostart function: to start the generator
on low battery voltage.
• Interval mode to start and stop the
generator at any desired moment.
Load bar
The load bar displays the approximate load that is connected
to the generator in proportion to the maximum available
power. Each LED represents 20% of the available power.
In the event of an overload situation a red LED illuminates.

Allows you to adjust the Digital Diesel Control according to the engine specifications.
• Autostart menu.
Allows adjustment of trigger points to start and stop the generator automatically
because of a low battery voltage (restricted access).
• Interval menu.
Settings to run the generator periodically (restricted accessibility).
• Display menu.
Used to reset and adjust several parameters according to the user specific
requirements, e.g. the internal clock.
