cracks,

wear,

lengthening or

other

found,

replace

the

timing belt

DEFLECTION

BY

PUSHING

WITH

YOUR

ANGER

Replacement

of

the

Timing

Belt

1. Remove

the

parts in

the

following

order:

a.

Spark plugs

6.

Recoil

starter

c.

Magneto

flywheel

cup

d. Altemator assembly

e.

Alternator bracket

2.

Tum

the

crankshaft

and

align

"0"

mark

on

the drive

pulley

and

the

"0"

mark

on

the

cylinder

head.

3. Remove

the

timing belt

from

the

driven

pulley

side.

4. Install the timing belt

from

the

drive

pulley

side.

NOTE:

After installing

the

timing

belt,

when

the

aligning

"0"

mark

on

the

drive pulley

with

"0"

on

the cylinder

block. Please confirm that

the

"1 &

0"

or ''2 &

0"

mark

on the driven pulley

are

aligned

with

the

"'V" mark on

the

cylinder head

NOTE:

Always keep the timing belt

away

from any oil and

grease.
